I have trained with several different top milliners to ensure a wide skillset when making hats. All my work is created here in Dorset and is made using traditional millinery techniques. The hats are hand stitched so a bespoke creation can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to create. Some designs can take a little less time though depending on orders. I pride myself on providing outstanding customer service in order to ensure that all of my clients are 100% satisfied.
These are just a few of the recent creations made. Some of my lovely customers were happy to share their creations being worn. These are just a selection, please feel free to contact us if you would like something particular.
This hat was designed to match the lilies on the dress. Using feathers to create the lilies, matching the colour, then hand painting the lily markings. It was finished off with stripped coque feathers to mimic the butterflies on the dress. This is a crin swirl hatinator, set on a headband. It is very light to wear and there are many variations can be created.
An urgent call to create a hat for an Investiture at Windsor Castle to collect a CBE and could it be made within 3 days? It was a tall order but thankfully I was able to create this beautiful mini sinamay pillbox with bronze black feather detailing. We matched the sinamay to the dress by colour layering to give the perfect colour and the bronze black feathers worked amazingly well, catching the light produced the delightful match and contrast.
We designed a hat for Ladies Day at Ascot Races, this was a navy and mustard bespoke creation incorporating pleated and scrolled sinemay straw and coordinating biot feathers.
This pillbox was created for a very special wedding guest, it was created with a parisisal (very fine straw) and canvas base and covered with colour matched pure silk for a beautiful effect and perfect for the outfit.
This navy and cerise crinoline hatinator with diamante inserts and pale pink feathers for movement was created for a Mother of the Groom. All the colours were from her dress and she wanted a little bit of sparkle too!
